HTC Annual Christmas Toy Drive

Don’t forget the HTC “Share Your Christmas Toy Drive, Sat. December 6 at 7:00 at the Outrigger.  We will welcome donations of cash, or toys (worth $5.00 or more-unwrapped)

Cash donations can be made out to Montgomery County Women’s Center.  If you can’t attend, but still want to donate, you may drop off your donations to Kitty Dailey, 11335 Windlass. Please call Kitty-890-9090 to arrange a time to make your delivery.    

 

Commodore’s Corner

The Harbour Town Yacht Club Halloween Party was outstanding!  A special thanks to Gay Pearson and Anita Dodd and the ghouls and goblins that helped them put on this great party.

The final event this year will be the New Year’s Eve party scheduled for Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the Outrigger.  The party will begin at 9:00 p.m.  Members will be admitted without charge and guests 21 and older with a nominal fee of $20.00 per person.  This will include food, beverages and entertainment.  Invitations will be mailed out in early December.

The semi-annual meeting of the HTYC membership will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the Outrigger.  The club membership year starts in January so plan now to renew your membership.  If you have questions regarding new memberships, please contact Diane Streetman,

Ladies’ Bunko                                                                                         

April Pastor will be hosting a fun Christmas-themed night of Bunko Tues., Dec. 16. at 6:00 p.m. at the Outrigger.  Please bring an hors d'oeuvre. Drink and dessert will be provided.

We will exchange (5) $1.00 gifts, as we play Bunko and/ or, other games. All members and those who have played as a substitute are invited.  It’ll be a fun time for all Bunko players and those who’ve have enjoyed the game. Ladies’ Christmas Cookie Exchange

There will be no Ladies Lunch in December.  In its place is our annual Christmas Cookie Exchange on Wed. December 17, at 2 P.M. This year it will be held at a former Harbour Town resident’s home (Reba Wright) in Point Aquarius-14324 North Summer Chase Cir.

If you are interested in attending, bring 3 dozen cookies and a Christmas ornament (no more than $10 in value) to participate in our “Silly Santa Swap”.

DIRECTIONS to Reba’s house: LEFT off FM 1097 at the blinking light into Pt. Aquarius.  At the guard shack, tell him you're going to Reba Wright's Christmas Party.  Go straight passed the speed bump to SUMMER CHASE and make a RIGHT.  At the dead end, go RIGHT.  It's the second house on the RIGHT.

 Get Well Wishes

We extend our most heartfelt prayers and loads of encouragement to Dorothy and Dave Sanders, who recently suffered injuries in an unfortunate freak accident.  We wish them only the best in their quest for a speedy recovery.  Hang in there y’all—we’re rootin’ for ya!
