Volunteer
Positions - -By June 2010, there
will be three positions open on the Harbour Town Board of Directors, and three
positions on the Architectural Review Committee. These positions are voted on by the residents
of
Spring Garage
Sale - If a HT garage sale is
going to happen this year, a volunteer needs to come forward to organize and
make it happen. If you are interested in
coordinating this event, please contact Steve at the Harbour Town Office,
936-856-4378. Spring is a great time to go through all your closets, garages,
storage units, etc. and “thin out your loot”!
Architectural Review Committee
As was stated in “Neighborhood News”, there
will be three positions coming open for the Architectural Review Committee in
June of 2010. These positions help play
a very important
part in
the preservation of our home values and keep the appearance of
Spring is “bustin’ out all over”, and this
is the time that most of us begin to spruce up our homes with new coats of
paint, repair or replace worn shingles, fences, new plants in our flower beds,
etc. Kindly remember that any projects
you plan for the exterior of your home must be approved by the ARC prior to doing any of the work. Applications for proposed work may be found
online at harbourtown.org, or from the office.
SMOOTH SAILING-Commodore Kent Ferguson
The first party of 2010, the Saint Patty’s
Day Party and Game night, has always been popular. The 43 members in attendance enjoyed great
food, green margaritas, beer, wine, soft drinks and games. Thanks to Marlene Hodgson and all her helpers
for doing a great job decorating and setting the bar high for the rest of the
parties this year.
Our next activity will be the Easter Egg
Hunt on Easter Sunday, April 4 at 2:00 pm.
This is being coordinated by Linda Carter, 936-890-6809. It will be held on the Common Grounds around
the swimming pool and is open to children to the age of 10. There are three age groups 0-2 years, 3-5
years and 6-10. Older children are
welcome to help the Easter Bunny hide the eggs.
As usual there are prizes and refreshments. This is open to all
Save the Date: Don’t forget to reserve May 1 for the annual
Derby Day Party! Ladies, start
decorating your hats! There’s always
lots of fun watching the horses run and placing friendly bets on your favorite
horses. More to come in the next
newsletter.
As always, we want all property owners and
residents to join and participate. Contact
a coordinator and offer to help. This is YOUR
Yacht Club where neighbors become friends. You don’t even have to own a
boat! If you have not joined yet,
