GATE CODE:  Enclosed in this newsletter are the new gate code cards.  The new code will be effective Monday, February 1, with the old code being removed on Monday, February 15.

TOWN HOME FORECLOSURE:  Due to non-payment of maintenance fees, Harbour Town has been granted permission by the court to foreclose on 2302 Keel Ct.  It is expected that this property will be sold on the Montgomery County Courthouse steps very soon.  Anyone interested in this type of sale should check out this opportunity.

MARINA COMMITTEE: A new committee has been formed to oversee the Marina.

The Committee is just now in the development stages but anyone who would like more information about the Committee or when they will be meeting should contact Jon Wodka.

 

Architectural Review Committee

HELP! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  There will soon be two openings on the ARC.  If you would like to volunteer a couple of hours per month to help keep Harbour Town a great place to live please contact Steve Bullard at the office (936-856-4378

 

Ladies Lunch

The February Ladies Luncheon will be hosted by Kitty Dailey and Lana Waples on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 11:30.  All ladies of Harbour Town are invited to bring a potluck lunch to the Outrigger and to enjoy food, fun, and fellowship! Please RSVP to:

  Ladies Bunco

Kitty Dailey will host Ladies Bunco on Tuesday, Feb. 23.  Players will meet at the Outrigger at 6:30 P.M. for dinner.  Games will begin at 7:00 P.M.  Please call Gay Crisler (936-890-0005 or ghcrisler@msn.com) as soon as possible, if you need a sub. 

Smooth Sailing - Commodore Kent Ferguson

The New Year’s Eve Gala was a great way to usher in 2010 with dancing, gourmet food, open bar and door prizes.  The decorations were fantastic, thanks to Gay Crisler and Rena Collins.  The food was excellent, thanks to Jeri Sturges and Charlene McDuffie.  Seventy-two members and guests attended.

We had a meeting on New Year’s Day at the Outrigger at 11:00 a.m., where the board of Directors reluctantly accepted Nancy Sproba’s resignation from the position of Secretary.  Nancy has served in this position since 2004 and has always done an excellent job and more than her fair share!  We extend our appreciation to Nancy for all her years of service.  Philomena Vick volunteered to serve as secretary.  Gay Crisler volunteered to serve as Vice-Commodore.  Thanks to both of them for filling these important positions. 

The Harbour Town Yacht Club is an excellent example of 10% of the People doing 90% of the work.  We currently have 121 members and I want to encourage each of you to get involved and volunteer to serve on a committee.  Please review the events for this year and contact a coordinator or Gay Crisler and volunteer to help.
